Plainville USD 270

USD 270 Plainville is a 2A school district. There are approximately 200 Junior/Senior High School students in Grades 7-12 and approximately 200 students in the Elementary School Grades PreK-6. We are located about 25 miles north of Hays. USD 270 has 14 CTE Pathways, an open-enrollment preschool, and a very low turnover of administration and staff.  We have experienced many state placers in our sports, forensics, and art programs. There is tremendous support for the school district in our progressive community and surrounding area. We have a very modern hospital that offers many different services and a walk-in clinic. Plainville has many recreational opportunities such as a golf course located 5 miles north of town, public swimming pool, public park, recreation center, library with community activities, fishing, hunting, 4-H clubs, and boy and girl scout programs.

We are looking for the best educators to join our amazing staff. Due to preschool expansion, the preschool numbers have tripled in size. Last year we opened a childcare facility and are able to offer quality care to children birth to school age.
