Unified School District #232, a Gold Medal school district (Expansion Management Magazine), is located in northwest Johnson County, Kansas, and serves children from De Soto, Shawnee, Lenexa, a portion of Olathe, and the Lexington and Olathe Townships.  De Soto School District, as it is commonly referred to, covers 100+ square miles of Johnson County, more than any other county school system.  It operates seven elementary schools, three middle schools, two high schools, and one learning center.  Total student enrollment for preschool through grade 12 is nearly 7,000 for the 2019-20 school year.  De Soto USD employs approximately 975 certified and classified staff.  The district offers competitive salaries and benefits and is committed to professional development.  Teachers enjoy LCD projectors in every classroom with 24/7 remote access to applications and files.  We are an Apple School District.
