JOB SUMMARY: The primary role of the Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist - COMS is to provide services to children with visual impairments for orientation and safe travel skills within the classroom, school and community. The COMS is responsible for the evaluation, implementation and progress monitoring of children according to the Individual Education Plan. Valid drivers license required for employment. REAL ID is required if air travel is necessary to complete job duties. QUALIFICATIONS: Required: 1. Bachelor`s Degree from an accredited college/university Preferred: 1.
