Greenbush The Southeast Kansas Education Service Center is seeking applications for a MIECHV Grant Coordinator at Russell Child Development Center in Garden City. 

Anticipated Start Date: 11/01/2025. 

Job Summary: The MIECHV Grant Coordinator is responsible for the leadership, administration, and implementation of
the MIECHV-funded Parents as Teachers (PAT) home visiting program. This position ensures program quality, model
fidelity, and full compliance with state and federal grant requirements. The Coordinator provides guidance, technical
support, supervision, and professional development for PAT Educators while ensuring performance benchmarks are
met. This role includes managing program reporting, collaborating with partners and funders, maintaining data integrity,
and contributing to strategic planning to enhance family outcomes and early childhood systems across the region.

 

Qualifications
Required:

  1. Job-related experience within the specialized field is required.
  2. Bachelors degree in Early Childhood, Human Services, Public Health, Education, or related field.
  3. Valid driver's license for employment.
  4. Successful completion of the Defensive Driving course (provided by RCDC).
  5. Background Clearance.

 

Preferred:

  1. Experience in home visiting and knowledge of early childhood systems.
  2. Certification or experience in the Parents as Teachers model.

 

Responsibilities
Essential Functions:

  1. Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning

  4. Coordinate and ensure implementation of MIECHV grant activities in alignment with federal/state requirements
  5. and Parents as Teachers National Center (PATNC) Essential Requirements.
  6. Provide supervision and reflective support for MIECHV PAT Educators, including performance evaluations and
  7. monitoring professional development. Organize and facilitate team meetings and learning opportunities.
  8. Oversee and ensure fidelity to the PAT model, including required visit frequency, screenings, assessments,
  9. curriculum use, family goal planning, and group connections.
  10. Support PAT Educators in using data to improve service delivery and client outcomes.
  11. Prepare and submit required reports to funders and maintain accurate documentation within DAISY, KGMS, or
  12. other assigned data systems.
  13. Lead continuous quality improvement (CQI) efforts aligned with MIECHV benchmarks.
  14. Collaborate with local and state agencies, including KDHE, early childhood partners, and home visiting coalitions
  15. to advance community systems of care.
  16. Assist with the development and maintenance of program documentation, policy manuals, and implementation
  17. plans per model and funder expectations.
  18. Participate in state technical assistance calls, trainings, and site visits related to MIECHV and PAT.
  19. Assist with grant writing, budget development, and sustainability planning.
  20. Represent RCDC at community meetings and events to promote the mission and services of the MIECHV PAT
  21. program.
  22. Be the liaison with the school districts contracting with the RCDC MIECHV program.

General Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain timely, accurate documentation.
  2. Support the mission, goals, and objectives of RCDC.
  3. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.
  4. Maintain strict confidentiality as outlined by FERPA and HIPAA.
  5. Work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  6. Stay current with research, policies, and best practices in early childhood and home visiting.
  7. Demonstrate proficiency in effectively and regularly communicating with other employees of RCDC and clients.
  8. Adhere to agency policies and procedures.
  9. Independently manage assignments, ensuring performance outcomes are achieved within budget, timeline, and
  10. agency objectives.
  11. Follow all RCDC safety procedures.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer or designee.

 

Physical Requirements:

  1. 70 % sitting, 15% walking, and 15% standing
  2. Lifting up to 30 pounds.
  3. Manage all job duties with mobility, agility, and dexterity.
  4. Sit/stand for long periods of time.
  5. Ability to drive in varying weather and geographical conditions.
  6. The job is performed under minimal temperature variations and in a generally hazard-free environment.
