Greenbush The Southeast Kansas Education Service Center is seeking applications for a Data Clerk at Russell Child Development Center in Garden City, KS.

 

Anticipated Start Date: 10/01/2025

 

Position: Data Clerk

 

Program: Early Childhood Programs (Building Blocks)/RCDC

 

Job Summary: The Data Clerk is responsible for providing a wide variety of complex and confidential administrative support; developing, maintaining, and updating program databases and systems; maintaining current program records; communicating information; and supporting program technology applications.

 

Qualifications

Required:

Job-related experience within the specialized field.  

High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Ability to concentrate for lengthy periods and perform accurately with adequate speeds.

Proficient typing skills.

Excellent attention to detail.

Valid driver's license for employment.

Successful completion of Defensive Driving course, provided by RCDC.

Background Clearance.

 

Preferred:

Associates degree or higher in related field.

 

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  1. Demonstrate commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
  2. Maintain a variety of manual and electronic records in accordance with administrative and legal requirements.
  3. Assist in improving and maintaining efficient filing and record-keeping systems for early childhood programs.
  4. Assist with maintenance of databases and systems for collecting programmatic data, as assigned.
  5. Enter and organize data, including but not limited to: program attendance; new and updated enrollment and exits within specified data systems; developmental screening data; assignment of identification numbers;
  6. Manage ASQ Online for all ECBG programs.
  7. Assist in maintaining current Excel workbooks for staff members and contracted workers.
  8. Additional data entry and organizational tasks as assigned by supervisor.
  9. Assist in synthesizing reports, documents, and necessary information from a variety of sources.
  10. Recognize and correct errors in data; inform appropriate staff when errors are discovered.
  11. Organize data and information in an accurate, useful, and swift manner.
  12. Accurately enter data into corresponding fields within various software programs, including DAISEY, JotForm, Microsoft Excel, and others as required.
  13. Assist with administrative and secretarial duties as needed to ensure uninterrupted services to clients.
  14. Support agency staff in carrying out public awareness, marketing, fund development, and advocacy activities.
  15. Participate in a variety of meetings, workshops, training, etc. in order to provide and/or receive information and support the achievement of agency and program objectives.
  16. Adhere to all professional guidelines as outlined in agency policies.
  17. Aid staff, contracted staff, and clients with questions about multiple data tracking systems.
  18. Create flyers for communicating schedules for each Learn & Play site and update as needed in conjunction with Learn & Play Coordinator and Supervisor.

 

General Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain timely documentation.
  2. Support the mission, goals, and objectives of RCDC.
  3. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.
  4. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  5. Comfortable with office equipment, including computer, telephone, scanner, calculator, and photocopier.
  6. Maintain strict confidentiality as outlined by FERPA and HIPAA.
  7. Ability to work alone and in groups to provide services.
  8. Assume responsibility for individual professional growth by staying current with research and practices.
  9. Demonstrate proficiency in effectively and regularly communicating with other employees of RCDC and clients.
  10. Complete all assignments in a timely manner, including communication with other staff and clients/contractors.
  11. Adhere to all professional guidelines as outlined in agency policies.
  12. Independently manage daily assignments and activities ensuring performance outcomes are achieved within budget, timeline, department, and agency objectives.
  13. Follow all safety requirements as directed by RCDC.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned by the CEO or Direct Supervisor.

 

Physical Requirements:

  1. 70 % sitting, 15% walking and 15% standing
  2. Lifting up to 30 pounds.
  3. Manage all job duties with mobility, agility, and dexterity.
  4. Sit/stand for long periods of time.
  5. Ability to drive in varying weather and geographical conditions.
  6. The job is performed under minimal temperature variations and in a generally hazard-free environment.

The plan provides an opportunity for any Greenbush employee working at least 1,004 hours per year to be reimbursed up to $1500 per contract year for tuition costs. Employees of Greenbush meeting the hour requirement can apply to participate in the program by completing the Education Reimbursement Application Form. In addition, Greenbush offers a Professional License Reimbursement Program, which provides full reimbursement for professional licenses with specific Kansas licensing authorities and other appropriate authorities (a complete list can be provided upon request).
