10-Month Secretary - Atchison High School

Atchison Public Schools is accepting applications for Atchison High School 10-month Secretary. Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent.  

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Health and Inoculation Certificate on file in the central office (after employment offer is made).
• Demonstrated typing and filing skills.
• Experience in using various computers and computer programs.
• Desire to continue career improvement by enhancing skills and job performance.
• Requires use of equipment including repetitive motions and computer eye fatigue.
• Must be able to work in noisy and crowded environments- with numerous interruptions.
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks at one time efficiently and courteously.

General Functions:

• Provide office and clerical support to assist with the efficient operation of the school district.
• Ensure all activities conform to district guidelines.
• Communicate and work effectively and cooperatively with members of the school district and community.
• React to change and frequent interruptions in a productive and positive manner- and meeting deadlines as assigned.
• Operate all equipment appropriately as required.
• Work to implement the vision and mission of the district.
• Requires prolonged sitting or standing- and use of equipment including repetitive motions and computer eye fatigue.
• Must occasionally work in noisy and crowded environments- with numerous interruptions.
• Regular attendance is required of all employees subject to allowed leave in accordance with district policy or negotiated agreement- as appropriate.  Excessive absences or tardiness- unauthorized leave or unexcused absences may result in disciplinary action including termination of employment
