Elementary School Counselor

Vermillion Elementary School is seeking a School Counselor for the 2025-26 school year.  This position does require a School Counselor Endorsement.  Candidates should have or be eligible for a provisional endorsement by August 1, 2025.    

Maize has a lot to offer educators new to the district and those new to the profession.  All new educators are matched with a qualified mentor and both the mentor and mentee are supported by our team of Student Support Specialists and Instructional Coaches.  New educators also participate in 8 half day professional development opportunities throughout the school year. 

Our educators are encouraged to continue to learn and grow.  Professional learning days are well planned and cover relevant and timely topics.   We also offer a professional learning series that qualifies for college credits and tuition reimbursement for a Masters degree. 

Safe and well-maintained facilities are another great feature found in the Maize district.  Through partnership with the Maize Police Department, we have Resource Officers at many of our schools and have invested in enhanced security features.
