Gifted Teacher

The Marshall-Nemaha Educational Services Cooperative is seeking a dynamic, student-centered Gifted Education Teacher to design and deliver rigorous, engaging, and differentiated instruction for identified gifted and high-ability learners for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate fosters creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving while supporting the social-emotional needs of advanced learners. This position will involve travel between districts in the cooperative to serve students. Mileage will be reimbursed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide differentiated instruction, enrichment, and/or acceleration services for gifted students.

  • Develop and implement curriculum that emphasizes higher-order thinking, inquiry, creativity, and real-world application.

  • Use multiple data sources to identify student needs and monitor academic growth.

  • Collaborate with general education teachers to support differentiation in the regular classroom.

  • Facilitate project-based learning, independent study, and problem-solving opportunities.

  • Support the social-emotional development of gifted learners.

  • Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress and programming.

  • Maintain compliance with district and state guidelines for gifted education services.

  • Participate in professional learning and continuous improvement efforts.
