Secondary Language Arts Teacher

We are seeking a Language Arts Teacher to join our dynamic team of educators at a school located in Jackson Heights. The ideal candidate will have a passion for literature and language and be able to inspire and engage students in the classroom.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state and district standards
  • Teach students reading, writing, grammar, and literary analysis skills through a variety of methods, including discussion, hands-on activities, and technology-based tools
  • Monitor and assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly to ensure academic growth
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents/guardians on student progress and areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to promote student achievement and overall school goals
  • Stay up-to-date on current trends and best practices in language arts education

Requirements:

  • - Bachelor`s degree in Education, English, or a related field
  • - Valid teaching certification in Language Arts
  • - Strong knowledge of language arts standards and instructional practices
  • - Ability to effectively manage a classroom and create a positive learning environment
  • - Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with others
  • - Passion for literature and language and ability to inspire and engage students
