6-12 Principal SY 26-27

Peabody-Burns is seeking a 6-12 Principal with excellent communication skills and a willingness to help student and staff excel in all areas of education.

Responsibilities:

1. Supports the total academic/activity/athletic program of USD #398

2.  Demonstrates professionalism

3.  Oversees a safe and orderly school

4.  Ensures student achievement for all student groups

5.  Builds positive school and community relations.

6.  Leads the school in developing constructive student/adult relations

7.  Oversees effective and efficient staff performance

8.  Practices responsible fiscal, facility, and resource management

9.  Models positive professional attributes

10.  Oversees the development and maintaining of all CTE programs.

Education:

1. Masters degree in school administration/leadership from an accredited college or university
2. Current Kansas Building Administrator licensure

Peabody-Burns MS-HS is a small 1A (Div. II) building with an anticipated 100 total students in grades 6-12 for the 2022-23 school year. USD 398 is a member of the Wheat State League. A small rural setting within 40 minutes of metro Wichita, the district lends itself to an array of opportunities.
