The Eisenhower Foundation is a public nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the legacy of our 34th president, Dwight D. Eisenhower. Based in Abilene, Kansas, the Foundation supports the Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum.

IKEducation, our collaborative K12 initiative, delivers innovative educational experiences that deepen students' understanding of Eisenhower and his era. As our student reach rapidly grows, so does our commitment to expanding and enriching our programs. We continually seek creative ways to share knowledge and bring the artifacts and stories of the Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum to life.

To that end, we are seeking the right person to help elevate our STEM offerings. Science gives history tools and insights; history gives science context and meaning. Together, they create a richer, more complete picture of the human experience.

Employment Type: Part-Time until June 30, 2026

Salary Range: $25/hour

Position Overview:

The Eisenhower Foundation is seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable STEM educator to join our IKEducation team. This position will provide STEM expertise and guidance for a new education center located at the Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum.

Were looking for someone who is organized, creative, adaptable, and eager to meet the exciting challenge of serving K12 students and teachers nationwide. This educator will help develop and guide STEM-focused spaces (both indoor and outdoor), interactive exhibits, and educational programs delivered across three platforms: IKE Onsite, IKE Online, and IKE Express.

The ideal candidate will bring a passion for STEM education and its powerful intersections with history, strong communication and collaboration skills, and a talent for making complex ideas engaging and accessible to learners of all ages.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in a STEM field.

At least 5 years of experience as a STEM educator in school, museum, or other setting.

Experience with curriculum development or museum programming.

Strong classroom management and presentation skills. Ability to independently useor quickly learnApple iWork, Google Workspace, and a variety of online platforms essential for completing tasks and developing educational programs.

Enthusiasm for informal, inquiry-based learning and museum education.

Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to collaborate well with others.

Ability to travel occasionally for outreach programs or professional development.

This part-time position will be in place until June 30, 2026. It will then be replaced with a full-time position which will be open to other applicants.

This role will be a hybrid of in-office and remote work, Monday - Friday. This position offers $25 per hour for up to 20 hours a week and can begin August 4, 2025. The number of hours will vary depending on need.

The Eisenhower Foundation is closed on most federal holidays and IKEducation will be closed for the weeks of November 24 - 28, 2025; December 22 - January 2, 2026.
