(CCSSC Special Education job applications and hiring are processed through the host district, USD 465 Winfield Public Schools, Winfield KS.) Must have or be eligible for a Kansas Teaching License with secondary Math endorsements and High-Incidence Special Education endorsements preferred, but this area may be negotiable with CCSSC. Areas of support include, but are not limited to, pre-teaching vocabulary for core curriculum classes, teaching students strategies in how to take tests successfully, providing support in the regular classroom itself during instruction, and teaching math in the Resource Room. Teaching duties will be determined by each students IEP. There are multiple requirements for special education paperwork that come with any special education teaching position. The cooperative has an IEP (Individual Education Plan) Coordinator who will assist/train all teachers in this process.
