High School Science TeacherStanton County USD 452 • www.usd452.org USD #452 Stanton County Kansas is seeking a secondary science teacher for the second semester of the 2024-2025 school year. If the candidate is not available until the 2025-2026 school, we are looking for that position as well. This position currently teaches biology, physics and chemistry. Position Benefits and Supplemental Contracts Coaching and other supplemental duties may be available but aren`t required. 2024-2025 annual base salary is: $44,500. We utilize a bonus column for hard to fill positions such as science that starts at $50,500 and is dependent upon experience and certification. Generous Signing Bonus Will Be Offered. Benefits include paid time off days. The district provides single health insurance coverage. Stanton County participates in the Rural Opportunity Zones student loan repayment program. Once residence has been established, qualifying applicants receive $3,000 per year for five years for a total benefit of $15,000 to pay for student loan expenses. Additionally, USD 452 offers $2,500 per year for four years for a total of $10,000 for qualifying candidates to assist with tuition reimbursement. If you have a bachelors degree in science but not a teaching degree, you may qualify for the Post -Baccalaureate STEM Teacher Program through FHSU. This award is over $23,000! The district provides a one-time stipend of $1,000 for ESL endorsed, certified staff. After the initial $1,000 stipend the staff member will receive a $500 annual stipend for being ESL endorsed. District reimburses college hours and allows the user to advance on the pay scale. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of current course content, teaching methods, educational pedagogy, as well as differentiated instruction based upon student learning styles. Ability to use computer network system and software applications as needed. Ability to organize and coordinate work. Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents. Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work. Qualifications- Kansas State Certification as a 7-12 Science Teacher or the ability to obtain one, or additional individual certifications such as; biology, chemistry or physics. Motor Vehicle Operator`s License or ability to provide own transportation. Education Bachelors from an accredited college or university in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment preferred.
