POSITION: VOCAL MUSIC INSTRUCTOR

9 Month Contract Full-time Position (renewable contract position)

RESPONSIBILITIES: The vocal music instructor will oversee vocal music at Allen Community College. The vocal music instructor will also work closely with Allens theatre and film department and instrumental music for collaboration activities. Duties over the first year will be recruitment for Allens vocal music program, private lessons for vocal music and piano students and other teaching assignments within Allens music program.

QUALIFICATIONS: Masters degree in music or a related field OR a masters degree in another field with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in music OR professional experience is required. Experience in college teaching is preferred. Piano experience is preferred.

LOCATION: Iola Campus office location. On-campus hours are required of the position.

SALARY: Salary range $44,437-62,039; based on education and experience. An excellent benefits package is available.

STARTING DATE: August 2026
