Middle School Counselor: Candidates must be K-12 School Counselor Certified in Kansas or eligible for certification in Kansas. Under the direction and supervision of the Principal or designee, the candidate will plan instruction, teach, differentiate instruction, motivate, inspire, and assess students in the social sciences. The candidate will develop and promote a high-quality, personalized educational program aligned with the Kansas State Content Standards for Middle School Social-Emotional Learning. Ulysses USD 214 is seeking candidates who demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills. Dynamic character, personality, flexible, team player, and proper social capability to relate effectively with diverse staff, students, parents, and the Ulysses community within a rigorous K-12 academic environment. Ulysses USD 214 is located in Grant County. Ulysses, KS, is centrally located to Kansas City, Denver, Wichita, Colorado Springs, Amarillo, and Pueblo.
The district has two elementary schools (a preK-2 primary school and a 3-5 elementary school), one middle school, and one high school. 
There are approximately 1,400 students in grades pre-K through 12th, and a teaching staff of approximately 100 teachers.  
Ulysses USD#214 is the largest 4-A school district in Southwest Kansas.
