Elementary Title Reading/Math Teacher

BOE pays 90% of single health insurance policy; matching 403b contribution up to $60/month; 10 sick days, 3 personal days... sick days can be turned into personal leave with Admin approval; sick and personal time can be taken in hourly increments.

Base salary is $43,800 for 175 contracted days.

USD 311- Pretty Prairie  is a 1A school district with approximately 300 students in grades PreK-12 serving a community of 600 people.  Located in south-central Kansas, Pretty Prairie is 20 minutes south of Hutchinson and 40 minutes west of Wichita. 

USD 311 has three attendance centers: Pretty Prairie Elementary School (grades PreK3-5th), Pretty Prairie Middle School (grades 6-8), and Pretty Prairie High School (grades 9-12).

In 2023, a bond issue passed that secured new windows and roofs on all buildings, upgrades/additions to the science lab and Ag shop, and a brand new competition gym! Now the whole town can come to all the home games (and they do!) It`s an atmosphere and culture you want to be part of!

Fun Facts: Pretty Prairie is home to Kansas` largest night rodeo and tens of thousands of people come to town for four nights in July! The town also prides itself on a functioning roller skating rink with its original wood floor! (Open for skating every Saturday night!)
