Board ClerkLewis USD 502 • www.usd502.com USD 501 Lewis Elementary is looking for a Board Clerk. Some of the qualifications are: knowledge of modern office procedures, typing ability and computer skills, general understanding of education and educational administration, ability and understanding to maintain records and reports of the board, and other responsibilities as the superintendent may designate. To assist the Superintendent in supervising an efficient, legal and organized school system. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Makes preparations for school board meetings, posting required notices, records minutes of school board meetings, and handles all school board correspondence. 2. Handles accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll each month. 3. Maintains all personnel records for certified employees and classified employees. 4. Maintains employee absence records, processes payroll on a monthly basis, along with payroll liabilities. 5. Handles budget allocations, recording expenditures, maintaining and reconciling balances for each account and checks monthly budget summary. 6. Maintain Security Pledges for General Fund Account and Money Market Account with local banks. 7. Gathers data for various reports required by federal and state agencies. 8 Is aware of and supportive of guidelines in board policies and administrative regulations. 9. Is prompt and thorough in completing assignments, meeting deadlines and attending to details accurately and efficiently. 10. Processes Food Service Program Records: applications, monthly reports, deposits and audits. 11. Prepare documents for school, state and federal reports and audits. 12. Manage district funds and budget items, as well as, State Fiscal Stabilization Funds. Benefits Information USD 502 offers a paid single health plan, KPERS retirement, and paid leave. Salary Information Salary depends on work experience. Work hours and days to be established by the superintendent.
