4-Day School Week: Elementary Assistant Principal

Bluestem Schools USD 205 has a vacancy for an Assistant Principal position at Bluestem Elementary School (Grades PreK-6) for the 2025-2026 school year. The position also includes District Test Coordinator duties. Application Deadline: April 14, 2025.

Bluestem is a rural school district in eastern Butler County Kansas.  Despite the rural nature of this scenic 350 square mile school district, it lies less than 30 minutes from all of the suburban hustle and bustle on the east side of Wichita, KS.  

Bluestem schools adopted a 4-day school week in 2010.  

Bluestem operates one 7-12 jr/sr high school and one PK-6 elementary school.

Bluestem Schools implemented a K-12 - 1 to 1 iPad project in the 2012-13 school year.
