4-Day School Week: Elementary School Counselor

Bluestem Schools USD 205 has a vacancy for a School Counselor at Bluestem Elementary School (Grades Pre-K - 6th) for the 2025-2026 school year. The counselor provides a comprehensive guidance and counseling program for students; consults and collaborates with teachers- parents- and staff; and provides support to school and district educational programs.

Bluestem is a rural school district in eastern Butler County Kansas.  Despite the rural nature of this scenic 350 square mile school district, it lies less than 30 minutes from all of the suburban hustle and bustle on the east side of Wichita, KS.  

Bluestem schools adopted a 4-day school week in 2010.  

Bluestem operates one 7-12 jr/sr high school and one PK-6 elementary school.

Bluestem Schools implemented a K-12 - 1 to 1 iPad project in the 2012-13 school year.
