Location: Lebo and Waverly Schools in the USD #243 Lebo/Waverly School District

Job Summary:
We are in search of a dedicated Special Education Paraprofessional to join our team at USD #243 for the upcoming academic year. The ideal candidate will assist our Special Education teachers in creating an inclusive learning environment that meets the individual needs of our students.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide instructional support to students with special needs under the guidance of Special Education teachers.
 

2. Assist in implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and ensure they align with students` needs and abilities.
 

3. Monitor students` behavior and provide necessary support and guidance.
 

4. Collaborate with teachers to assess student progress and adjust learning plans as required.
 

5. Contribute to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
 

6. Support students with daily tasks, both academically and personally, to enhance their school experience.

Qualifications:

1. Prior experience as a paraprofessional in Special Education, preferred.

2. Strong understanding of special education needs and practices.
 

3. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

4. Resilience and adaptability in changing classroom environments.
 

6. Familiarity with special education laws and school safety protocols.
