Sedgwick High School is seeking a passionate, experienced, and visionary Head Football Coach to lead our football program. The ideal candidate is a dynamic leader who can build a competitive program rooted in discipline, character, and innovation on and off the field. Our team has had a lot of recent success using the spread offensive philosophy, schemes, and player development techniques, and the ideal candidate would fit with our players.

Key Responsibilities:

·Develop and implement a comprehensive football program

·Design, coordinate, and teach offensive strategies that maximize player strengths.

·Teach and reinforce technical skills, including quarterback reads, route combinations, tempo control, RPO execution, spacing concepts, and blocking techniques aligned with the program's offensive philosophy.

·Hire, supervise, and mentor assistant coaches; ensure staff alignment with program and school philosophy and expectations.

·Lead by example in promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, academic excellence, and personal growth.

·Oversee year-round player development, including off-season conditioning, film study, and skill training.

·Manage all administrative responsibilities of the program including scheduling, budgeting, and communication with stakeholders.

·Build and sustain a strong feeder program and foster relationships with youth leagues, Jr. High Coaches, parents, and the community.

Qualifications:

·Proven experience coaching football at the high school or collegiate level.

·Demonstrated success in building competitive programs and developing athletes.

·Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

· Ability to inspire student-athletes and maintain high standards of conduct and academic performance.

·CPR/First Aid Certification and ability to meet all state coaching requirements.

 

Preferred Skills & Attributes:

· Expertise in quarterback development and offensive play-calling within the spread scheme.

· Familiarity with modern offensive technologies, film analysis software (e.g., Hudl), and digital playbook tools.

· Experience developing offensive game plans and adjusting strategy in-game.

· Strong network within the football coaching community and recruiting circles (for collegiate programs).

·Bachelor's degree; teaching certification preferred.

·Interest in taking a staff position at the school if one is or becomes available.

$5556 Supplemental Contract
