Piano AccompanistSedgwick USD 439 • www.usd439.com Sedgwick Public Schools is currently accepting applications for the part time position of piano accompanist - 4 to 6 hours per week for class practice time, up to 6 evening performances, and 2 Saturday contests. General Definition: Provide musical accompaniment for classes and performances, as well as act as a support to the vocal music program and students of Sedgwick Public Schools ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists instructional personnel by playing accompaniment for pupils in vocal classes, and small vocal group sectionals, in preparation for solo performances, rehearsals, and performances as needed. Work with soloists, both vocal and instrumental, to prepare for performances as needed. May assist in making arrangements for musical activities and presentations/performances. Able to record rehearsal tracks; all vocal parts and accompaniment. Must be able to meet and interact with employees and parents/guardians in routine situations, which require tact, discretion, and courtesy. Communicate with vocal music director as needed Other related duties as assigned.
