Rock Creek School District has immediate openings for Bus Drivers (Full time and sub).

QUALIFICATIONS:

1.     Able to acquire a CDL License.

2.     Pass a physical examination pre-duty, at any time as requested by the District, and thereafter within two years of the last completed physical examination.

3.     Affirm understanding of the District's Drug Free Workplace Statement of Policy and Drug and Alcohol Testing Policy.

4.     Pass, with negative results, the required pre-duty controlled substance testing as well as subsequent reasonable suspicion, random and post-accident controlled substance and alcohol tests.

5.     Must have good motor vehicle record.

6.     Must never have been convicted of hit and run, driving while intoxicated or under the influence of drugs, vehicular homicide, or reckless driving.

7.     Must never have had driver's license revoked or suspended.

8.     No more than 3 moving violations in past 5 years.

9.     Must never have been convicted of a felony or Class A, B, or C misdemeanor.

10. Complete a Medic First Aid Basic Course provided by U.S.D. 323.

11. Complete a Defensive Driving Course provided by U.S.D. 323.

12. Complete a Drug and Alcohol Testing/Employee Assistance Program In-service provided by U.S.D. 323.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1.      Obeys all traffic laws.

 2.      Observes all mandatory safety regulations for school busing.

 3.      Maintains discipline when students are on the bus.

 4.      Reports and follows discipline action as set in the School Bus Discipline Plan.

 5.      Keeps assigned bus clean.

 6.      Checks bus before each operation for mechanical defects.

 7.      Keeps to and follows assigned schedule.

 8.      Discharges students only at authorized stops.

 9.      Exercises responsible leadership when on out-of-district school trips.

10.     Transports only authorized individuals.

11.     Reports all accidents and completes required accident reports.

12.     Attend monthly safety meetings, or alternate In-service sessions as scheduled by the Transportation Director.
