Primary Purpose Under the general supervision of the School Principal, to develop students' skills and competence in language arts. Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the core academic subject area assigned to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. There are five (5) different medical plans to choose from and two different providers. Medical, dental and vision plans are all available. District also pays for a $25,000 life insurance policy as part of the benefit package. Ten (10) sick leave days and three (3) personal days are available each year. Professional Development opportunities are numerous and available for both growth and movement on the salary schedule. Salary Information Placement on the USD 445 negotiated salary schedule based on experience and education level. Starting pay for new teacher on the salary schedule is currently $45,900. Experience, college credits and professional development points (from USD 445) are utilized in column movement on the salary schedule. Contracted days total 182. This does not include any possible supplemental pay that might be considered. If you are interested in supplemental positions, the salary would be in addition to what is your base salary amount. INSTRUCTION USD 445 employs six instructional coaches district wide to assist teachers in everything from Literacy First strategies, technology integration, and in the latest in teaching and learning strategies. TECHNOLOGY Coffeyville USD 445 operates a large technology budget and incorporates the latest technology in the classroom, including eno boards, projectors in every room, IP phone system, and four computer labs.
