Business Teacher - Salina Central High School

The Business Teacher is responsible for helping students develop the knowledge, skills, and character necessary to become college and career ready young adults. The teacher will plan, organize, and implement an instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to fulfill their academic potential.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree from an accredited institution

Valid Kansas Teaching License in appropriate subject area(s)

Performance Responsibilities:

1. Instruct assigned classes at designated times and locations
2. Develop and deliver lesson plans that accommodate diverse student needs and align with curriculum goals
3. Create a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning and personal growth
4. Prepare for classes thoroughly and maintain evidence of planning when requested
5. Establish and uphold standards for classroom behavior
6. Use a variety of teaching methods and instructional materials appropriate for students' maturity and ability levels
7. Implement the districts educational philosophy and objectives in daily instruction
8. Regularly assess and report on student progress
9. Maintain accurate and complete student records as required
10. Engage in professional development and demonstrate a commitment to professional growth
11. Attend staff meetings and participate in school committees
12. Collaborate with grade-level or subject teams to address student needs
13. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
