HS Varsity Women's Basketball Coach

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Women's Basketball Coach to lead our high school team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in basketball, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to fostering athletic development, teamwork, and sportsmanship among student-athletes.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership: Develop and implement training programs that enhance players' skills, teamwork, and competitive spirit.
Coaching: Conduct regular practices and game strategies; prepare players physically and mentally for competitions.
Player Development: Assess individual player strengths and areas for improvement; provide constructive feedback and mentorship.
Game Management: Oversee game preparations, including scouting opponents and developing game plans; make real-time decisions during games.
Communication: Maintain open communication with players, parents, and school administration; provide regular updates on team progress and expectations.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with school, district, and state athletic policies and regulations.
Promote Sportsmanship: Foster a positive team culture focused on respect, integrity, and sportsmanship.
Fundraising & Community Engagement: Participate in fundraising activities and promote the basketball program within the community.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma required; bachelors degree in education, sports management, or a related field preferred.
- Previous coaching experience, preferably at the high school level or higher preferred.
- Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals and strategies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes.
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).

Working Conditions:

- Must be available for practices, games, and team events, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to travel for away games and tournaments.
