USD 368 is seeking certified teaching applications for an Elementary Title I Reading Teacher at Sunflower Elementary School.  This position is for the 2025-2026 school year with an anticipated start date of 8/5/2025.

This position will provide reading support instruction and intervention to students at Sunflower Elementary School.

Ideal applicants will hold a KSDE Reading Specialist endorsement with experience as an elementary reading teacher and training in the Science of Reading.  After 2028 this position will be required by KSDE to hold a license containing a Seal of Literacy.

Sunflower Elementary School services approximately 400 students in grades 3rd - 5th and was one of only four Kansas schools to be named as a 2024 National Blue Ribbon School by the United States Department of Education.

Paola provides a mentoring program for first and second year teachers.  Beginning teachers are paired with master teachers for support and guidance.  At the completion of the program, new teachers have fulfilled the Kansas State Department of Education requirements to move from an initial to professional teaching license.  Professional development is a vital part of continued growth for all licensed personnel.
