Position Overview

Blue Valley USD #384 is seeking a dynamic, forward-thinking Business/Technology Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop skills in technology, business concepts, and career readiness, preparing them for a 21st-century workforce.

Primary Responsibilities

Develop and deliver engaging, Kansas and industry standards-based instruction in technology and business courses to middle and high school students.

Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.

Integrate technology into teaching practices and curriculum to enhance student learning.

Provide instruction in areas such as computer applications, coding, entrepreneurship, personal finance, and career readiness.

Foster collaboration and problem-solving skills through project-based learning opportunities.

Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support academic growth.

Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and align courses with state and district standards.

Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and other required documentation for pathway maintenance, approval, and accountability report.

Oversee the state-recognized Career Technical Student Organization relevant to approved business and/or technology pathways.

Qualifications

Required: Kansas teaching license with appropriate endorsements in Business or Technology Education.

Preferred: Experience teaching technology and/or business courses at the middle or high school level.

Strong understanding of current instructional technology tools and platforms.

Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
