Job Description
Title: HS Assistant Principal/Activities Director

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor Degree


2. Secondary Building Leadership Degree (preferred but not required)


Professional Responsibilities :
1. Assessment Coordinator
a. Assessments include ACT, PreACT, WorkKeys, Kansas Performance
Assessment, Interim Testing, and others
b. Scheduling, ordering, planning, and coordinating assessments with building staff
and district staff


2. At Risk Coordinator
a. Lead the Student Intervention Team
b. Focus would be on attendance, grades and behaviors for identified students
c. Create and implement SIT plans for students and 504 plans for students with
high school staff help


3. Activities Director 9-12
a. Create overall vision for activities at HHS
b. Planning, coordinating, and supervising activity contests for HHS
c. Lead Coaches Council or coaching professional development
d. Handle budgetary responsibilities of activities department.

The following are other duties included during the course of a regular school day that are not
mentioned in the above Professional Responsibilities:
1. Minor Discipline
2. Help develop vision for academics and culture of the building with the HS admin team.
3. Help serve the daily needs of teachers and students
4. Help with Lunch Duty
5. Help with daily operations

Benefits Information

USD 363 offers fulltime teachers a single health insurance plan, or the amount of $8,784 per year ($732.00) per month to be used toward the purchase of the district health insurance plan. The benefit is a use it or lose it option. The Board of Education offers $120 per month to each teacher not enrolled in the district`s health insurance plan. The $120 is to be used to purchase an annuity and/or other insurance products offered by the district.

USD 363 students are served by one high school with a 3A classification, one middle school and two elementary schools.  The district employs approximately eighty faculty members and more than fifty classified employees. 

USD 363 schools are fully accredited by KSDE.   All classrooms have internet access with ample number of student computers.  Students in grades third through High School use a one-to-one chromebook initiative for student learning.
