Position Summary The District Lead School Nurse provides strategic leadership and administrative oversight for the district's comprehensive health services program. This role is responsible for the supervision, assignment and clinical guidance of Registered Nurses (RNs) and health aides across all school buildings. The Lead Nurse ensures district-wide compliance with state health mandates, develops standardized clinical protocols, and serves as the primary liaison between the district, families, and Kansas public health agencies. The District Lead Nurse also serves as the school nurse for eCademy or another assigned school. Purpose The District Lead Nurse enhances the educational environment by managing the school health services program to minimize student absences and foster a healthy school climate.
