Valley Center School District is seeking a Parents as Teachers (PAT) Parent Educator for Abilene Elementary. 5 hours/day.

General:

The primary purpose of the Parents as Teachers Parent Educator is to provide families with research-based information, support, and encouragement which will assist their children in developing optimally from birth to 3 years of age.

Qualifications: 

Associate's degree in early childhood or related field required. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Completed and/or maintained certifications in all required Parents as Teachers training; or be willing to complete all mandated training, including the week-long Foundational Curriculum and Model Implementation training.

Salary Information

Salary ranges from $21.35/hr to $33.19/hr depending on education and years of experience.

Salary Information
USD 262 has a highly competitive salary schedule that allows all years of experience to be credited. We offer a base salary for teachers that ranges from $49,250 to $79,709 based on experience and/or credentials. 

Tuition Reimbursement
We have a generous tuition reimbursement program for those seeking advanced degrees. 

Benefits Information 
USD 262 pays $495.00 per month for single and $680.00 for single+ toward the Health Insurance Premiums, if you choose to participate.
