Behavior Support Specialist - AVSEC - Supplemental Learning CenterValley Center USD 262 • www.usd262.net The Behavior Support Specialist provides direct and consultative services to students and staff enrolled in the Supplemental Learning Center, which houses USD 262s Special Education Day School and 18-21-year-old programming. This position includes (a) delivering individual and group services; (b) building staff capacity in preventative, replacement, and reactive strategies; (c) leading de-escalation training and coaching; (d) supporting transition planning for students returning to neighborhood schools; and (e) facilitating collaborative problem-solving with school teams who may be considering Day School placement.
