• USD 257 includes the communities of Iola, Gas, and LaHarpe and has a total population of about 9,500.
• The district employs 100 teachers, with an average of 14 years experience. More than half hold advanced degrees.
• Iola Elementary School (Pre-School- 5th Grade)  allow continuity amongst teachers.
• Target class size for PreK - 3rd grades is 18 students.
• Iola Middle School has an enrollment of 240 students in grades 6-8.
• Iola High School, serves 390 students.
