Burlington High School FACS Teacher - 2025-2026

USD 244 is seeking a positive, energetic, and student-centered FACS teacher to join the Burlington High School team.  Burlington High School hosts approximately 250 students, with over 90% of the student body actively involved in activities and athletics.  With around 50 staff members, BHS's environment allows professional collaboration, effective support, opportunities for professional growth and extra-curricular activities, and the ability to get to know all students and families.

Successful candidates are expected to provide a creative, innovative, and inviting environment.  Potential courses to be taught for 2025-2026:  Culinary Essentials, Culinary Arts I, Culinary Arts II, Family Studies, Backing & Pastry I and II, Human Growth & Development, and Nutrition & Wellness.

The candidate will lead the Career and Technical Skills organization, Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA).

Successful candidates must have or be eligible for a Kansas Teaching License with a high school-level endorsement.  (Supplemental coaching or sponsor positions may also be available.)
