Student Success Coordinator/Elective TeacherBurlington USD 244 • www.usd244ks.org Burlington High School is excited to offer every student the opportunity to pursue their career path. With these options, BHS is looking for an applicant who enjoys assisting others with time-management, is organized, and good with technology. This position oversees students who are enrolled in online courses for high school and college credit. This Student Success teacher also has the opportunity to teach a few elective courses at Burlington Middle School (based on applicants qualifications/endorsements). A teaching certificate is not required for the student success portion of this job, but highly encouraged. What would my day look like? The teacher would teach an elective at the middle school in the morning. The remainder of the day would be in a classroom working with students as most of them take their first online course. The teacher will be responsible for transferring grades into Skyward (SIS system) and communicating with parents. The teachers will teach self-management and time-management to the students to set them up for a successful experience. I dont have a teaching degree. What now? The student success coordinator would still have the online classes at the high school and possibly help middle school one hour as needed.
