Reports To: Director of Special Education
Position Summary: This position is responsible for both direct and consultative services for students who are deaf/hard of hearing. The person in this position is expected to plan organize and implement an appropriate instructional program for an educational environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential. They must demonstrate preparation and skill in working with students from diverse cultural economic and ability backgrounds. They will participate in professional activities as well as extracurricular and/or academic support activities. This position is part of the special education team and reports to the special education coordinator.

This position requires the performance of light work. The position involves sitting standing walking talking hearing and light lifting. The position requires reaching with arms and hands for long periods. The position also requires the operation of learning technology such as computers hand-held devices etc. as well as relevant office equipment.
