Reports To: Avondale Principal

Purpose: Manage enrollment and transfer of all students entering Florence Crittenton.

Provide secondary school students with instructional support in all subject areas  via Edmentem Courseware Online;  Working with students individually and in groups using intervention strategies.

 

Qualifications:

• Teaching certificate

• Understanding of graduation credits and enrollment process

• Good interpersonal skills including the ability to work with minimal supervision

• Good organizational skills

• Ability to successfully accomplish/complete the annual professional development training

• Conscientiously accept and follow directions

• Adaptable to a variety of situations

 

Physical/Emotional Requirements: The incumbent may be required to use the following requirements during any part of the working day: Speaking- hearing- visual- reading- writing- word processing- mobility- consistency of temperament- ability to work with a variety of problems at the same time- stamina for working long hours and in stress producing environments.

 

Responsibilities may include:

• Analsis of transcripts and assign classes for graduation credit

• Assist students in achieving their individual objectives

• Work with small groups of students to learn or reinforce materials as directed by the teacher

 

• Access communication and instructional resources and support student use of computers

• Participate in professional development training programs

• Communicates effectively with parents and case managers about classroom and student issues- and communicates with students in a manner that supports learning.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Support students with developing social and behavioral skills

 

Terms of Employment: 9 months; salary and work year to be determined by the Board of Education Evaluatio
