District Daycare Assistant Provider

Holton USD #336 School District has District Daycare Assistant Provider opening(s) for the 2023-24 school year. QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• High School diploma or equivalent AND one (1) of the three (3)

options below:

1. Five (5) sessions of observations for at least 2-1/2 consecutive

hours per observation in a licensed preschool or child care

center. Child care center staff shall plan their observations so

that daily activities during morning, lunch, naptime, and late

afternoon can be observed. In addition to the 5 sessions, one

(1) year of teaching experience in a licensed child care

center or preschool, OR one (1) year of supervised

practicum in a licensed centers or preschools.

2. Seven to nine (7-9) semester hours academic credit in early

childhood AND three (3) months of teaching experience in

licensed center or preschool OR one (1) year supervised

practicum.

3. Child Development Associate Credential (CDA)

• Must have knowledge of the licensing regulations governing school-age programs

• Valid driver’s license (prefer Kansas)

• Ability to pass a criminal background check

• Health and Tuberculin Certificate on file (after employee offer is

made)
