Orion Education and Training, one of seven service center agencies in the state of Kansas, has an opening for a Network Administrator. The Network Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and security of our network systems.
Position will:
Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
Perform regular maintenance to ensure network stability, efficiency, and security.
Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize network efficiency.
Implement security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and policies.
Manage network hardware and software, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
Provide technical support to users and troubleshoot network-related problems as needed.
Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, protocols, and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Proven experience as a Network Administrator or similar role.
Strong understanding of network infrastructure, protocols and security.
Experience with network hardware such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
Familiarity with network monitoring tools.
Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and network security practices.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve network issues efficiently.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are preferred.
