Teacher, Math Interventionist

This position assists students by providing school-wide support for the implementation of the district's curriculum and to increase student learning and achievement through enhanced instructional delivery.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Provides intervention to math students including Tiers II & III.
  2. Provides research-based lessons including hands-on math instruction.
  3. Increases math achievement for all student populations.
  4. Meets with the principal and staff to determine math needs, analyzes/interprets data, and utilizes this analysis to coordinate the full and effective implementation of research-based curriculum.
  5. Partners with teachers in a collaborative effort to implement instruction, interventions, and co-teaching to help students achieve at the highest levels.
  6. Provides teachers with meaningful and targeted learning during PLCs.
  7. Assists teachers in diagnosing individual student weaknesses and matches these areas of need with appropriate instructional strategies and resources based on the College and Career Readiness Standards in mathematics.
  8. Assists with disaggregating and analyzing assessment data to help guide teacher instructional decisions.
  9. Monitors and reports the effectiveness and progress of improved math instruction and student performance to the assistant superintendent, their principal, and their building PLCs.
  10. Helps make recommendations regarding math curriculum/program materials.
  11. Maintains confidentiality of student information.

Salary Information

Starting salary $48,450 with a bachelor's degree, based on the 2024-25 salary schedule, higher depending upon experience, graduate hours, and FTE.
