This certified position helps students in grades 9-12 learn subject matter and practice skills that foster both academic and personal growth by delivering engaging instruction tailored to both in-person and virtual learners.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:     Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Teaches students using diverse techniques and digital platforms.
  2. Establishes and maintains classroom behavior standards suitable for virtual learning.
  3. Regularly evaluates and documents student progress.
  4. Communicates with parents/guardians effectively.
  5. Maintains professional competence through development activities.
  6. Collaborates with special education colleagues to address student IEP needs.
  7. Connects students with expert teachers as necessary.
  8. Oversees state assessments.
  9. Records student attendance.
  10. Maintains confidentiality of student information.

This position is an in-person position with daily reporting duties to the Robinson Community Building in Augusta, KS.

Salary Information

Starting salary $48,500 with a bachelor’s degree based upon the 2024-2025 salary schedule, higher depending upon experience, graduate hours, and FTE.  New teachers will be paid $100 per day to attend up to four (4) new teacher orientation days. www.usd402.com
