If the cost of the medical plan is less than the amount provided the difference can be used towards dental for the employee and/or dependents. No benefit available if an employee waives benefits. Other benefits available – Vision, Dental, FSA Leave - Twelve days’ leave beginning the opening day of the school term. Leave may be used at employee’s discretion. For each unused leave day, the Board of Education will pay an amount equal to substitute daily rate (at the beginning of the school year) to the teacher at the end of the contract year for a maximum of 12 days. Master Degree Tuition Reimbursement - A $2 500 incentive is awarded on a one-time basis for returning teachers who complete a master’s degree or $833.33 as a tuition reimbursement for graduate credit towards a master’s degree program for a maximum of $2 500. McLouth USD 342 is a 2A school district conveniently located between Lawrence, Kansas City, and Topeka. The campus houses over 450 students in one attendance center with an average classroom size of 12.8 students (secondary) and 15.9 students (elementary). The district is part of the Northeast Kansas Educational Service Center (Keystone), John Dewey Learning Academy, and Washburn Institute of Technology.
Together with school, families, and community, we are committed to student success. All Bulldogs in middle and high school are provided with a chromebook through our one to one initiative. The district recently completed a 3.425 million dollar bond issue for facility improvements including a new kitchen/cafeteria, storm shelter/early childhood center and track.
