Responsibilities: Assist the Head Coach in planning and implementing effective training sessions that focus on skill development- teamwork- and strategy. Provide guidance and support to players during practices and games- helping them improve their individual skills and overall performance. Analyze game footage to identify areas of improvement for both individuals and the team as a whole. Collaborate with the coaching staff to develop game plans and strategies that maximize our chances of winning. Foster a positive team culture by promoting sportsmanship- discipline- and respect among players. Monitor player progress and provide constructive feedback to help them grow as athletes. Assist in scouting opponents- studying their strengths and weaknesses to develop effective game strategies. Flexibility in working hours including evenings- weekends.

Employer Information Basehor-Linwood Unified School District 458 serves students and families in a 90 square mile area of southern Leavenworth County, Kansas. We currently have 8 district attendance centers. Our Early Learning Center for Childcare and Pre-K opened for the 2020-21 school year in August. K-5 buildings are located in Bonner Springs, Basehor and the Glenwood Ridge subdivision. A new K-5 building, located in Basehor, opened in the Fall 2021. Students in grades 6, 7 and 8 attend Basehor-Linwood Middle School in Basehor, near the center of the district. Basehor-Linwood High School, located in Basehor, is a 5A school, serving students in grades 9 through 12.
BLHS was named a 2012 National Blue Ribbon School. In addition, the district operates Basehor-Linwood Virtual School, an internet-based school serving approximately 250 K-12 students statewide instructed by Basehor-Linwood teachers.
Special Education services are provided by the Tonganoxie/Basehor-Linwood Special Education Cooperative located in Basehor. USD 458 is part of a vibrant, growing suburban area with expanding student population and tax base.
