Library Facilitator- Basehor Elementary School

Basehor-Linwood is currently seeking a library facilitator for the 2024-2025 school year at Basehor Elementary School.

Title:  Elementary Library Instructional Facilitator

Major Duties:  Facilitate library instruction to all elementary students based on the Kansas State Library Media Curriculum. 

This includes:

1. Follow detailed lesson plans based on the priority standards for Library Media provided by the Elementary Library Coordinator.
2. Must be responsible for class management classroom environment and the building of relationships in the library and throughout the building.
3. Prepare students for quarterly common assessments as prepared by the Elementary Library Coordinator.
4. Be aware of and demonstrate a knowledge of the library and all resources available to students and staff.
5. Encourage and facilitate a positive response to literature of all types. This includes the ability to help students and staff find items that interest them or that they need for a particular purpose.

     2) Maintain library organization process and present new materials daily routines of library maintenance and preparation for daily classes.

     3)    Assist with special events that pertain to the library space.

     4)    Multiple Lunchroom Duties

     5)    Before and After School Duties

     6)    Contribute to any additional tasks required by administration or classroom teachers.
