A valid Kansas teaching license with either a K-6 or 6-8 or high school endorsement is required.
COURSE DESCRIPTION: Foundations is a class that is intended to teach students skills and techniques that will help them to be successful in middle school and in life beyond. Two major ideas that this class is designed around are the Habits of Mind and the Growth Mindset. Both describe the belief that it is effort and hard work that develops success.
Some of the topics taught are: Study Strategies and Organization Public speaking and communication Research methods Digital Citizenship Leadership in school and community Career Exploration Current Events
