JOB BRIEF:     

  • To use leadership, management, supervisory, and monitoring skills to promote the educational development of all faculty, staff, and students.   

LOCATION: Frank Bergman Elementary 

QUALIFICATIONS:     

  1. A Masters Degree or higher with emphasis in educational administration.  
  2. Kansas certification as a building administrator.  
  3. At least five years experience in education including experience as a classroom teacher.  
  4. Experience working with racially, culturally, linguistically, and economically diverse populations.  
  5. All USD 383 employees must pass a background check.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:    

  1. Leads, establishes, and maintains an effective learning climate in the school.  
  2. Initiates, designs, and implements programs to meet specific needs of the school.  
  3. Prepares and submits the schools budgetary requests and monitors expenditures of funds.  
  4. Interprets and enforces district policies and administrative state and federal regulations.  
  5. Cultivates relationships through visibility and communication with students and parents.  
  6. Assists in the development, revisions, and evaluation of the curriculum.  
  7. Maintains high standards of student conduct in accordance with district policy.  
  8. Conducts school staff meetings.  
  9. Oversees hiring, personnel, and staff evaluations within the school.  
  10. Prepares and maintains accurate records.  
  11. Supervises the daily use of the school facilities for both academic and nonacademic purposes.  
  12. Establishes and maintains favorable relationships with community stakeholders to foster understanding and solicit support for overall school objectives and programs.  
  13. Attends or assigns a designee to serve as the Local Education Agency (LEA) representative at all IEP meetings in the school.  
  14. Performs other tasks and assumes other responsibilities as may be assigned.  

FLSA STATUS: Exempt   

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Boards policy on the Evaluation of Professional Personnel.

Salary Information

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT/SALARY:     

  • 220-day Contract.  
  • Salary and work year to be established by the Board.  
  • Salary Schedule 2024-2025 
  • 2025-2026 Salary yet to be established. 

REPORTS TO: Superintendent of Schools.
