We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate social worker. The school social worker plays a crucial role in providing support and assistance to individuals and families facing various challenges and crises. The primary responsibility will be to assess students' needs, develop and implement intervention plans, and coordinate connections with essential resources to improve student well-being and quality of life. QUALIFICATIONS: - Meets Kansas Social Work licensing regulations.
- Masters degree in social work or higher from accredited program, required.
- All USD 383 employees must pass a background check.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Strong commitment to providing services to students and their families in the school community. - Providing both direct and indirect services to students who meet established criteria.
- Working with staff within the building to collaborate on the needs of students and their families.
- Facilitate access to community based mental health treatment and other community services.
- Support the development of appropriate social interaction skills in cooperation with the school team.
- Provide consultation regarding parenting and mental health needs affecting the student's education.
- Assist with the utilization of community resources to strengthen the family and the student.
- Provide individual crisis intervention.
- Support students with conflict resolution, bully prevention and intervention, and suicide prevention.
- Committed to having a positive impact on youth.
- Skills in human relations, leadership, and conflict management.
- Open to learning and embracing the mentoring process.
Provide School-Community Liaison services including: - Facilitate collaborative programs with social and mental health services.
- Advocate for new and improved community/school services to meet the needs of families and students.
- Help the community system to respond effectively to each child's needs.
Other duties as assigned by administration.
