Position Overview:

We are seeking an inspiring, experienced, and visionary leader to serve as the Middle School Principal. This role is ideal for an instructional leader who is passionate about adolescent development, collaborative leadership, and creating an engaging and safe learning environment where every student thrives.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and support academic and social-emotional development for students in Grades 6-8

Supervise and support a team of educators and staff in instructional best practices

Foster a culture of high expectations

Oversee curriculum implementation, scheduling, assessment, and data-driven instruction

Collaborate with families, community partners, and district leadership

Manage school operations, budgets, and personnel decisions

Ensure a safe, positive, and respectful school climate

Promote professional development and teacher growth

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, or related field (required)

State certification as a school principal or administrator (required)

Minimum of 5 years of successful teaching experience (preferred)

At least 2 years of leadership experience in a school setting (preferred)

Strong knowledge of adolescent development, curriculum standards, and instructional leadership (preferred)

Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Preferred Attributes:

Familiarity with restorative practices and SEL (Social Emotional Learning)

Familiarity with the KESA School Improvement Process
