* Garden City is home to the student who won the Kansas/Oklahoma Short-Term Rotary International Youth Exchange Program travel scholarship award. 

* Three GCHS students qualified to go to the Health Occupations Students of American (HOSA) national competition this summer in Florida. Kenneth Henderson Middle School won 2016 KAMSA Middle School of the the Year Award. GC Schools Has been selected to Receive Kansas Reading Roadmap Grant.

* A salary schedule in the top 25% in Kansas, base rate of $47,500. 

* Employer provided 403(b) retirement account. 

* The cost of a single health insurance premium is $35/month for a standard plan.

* Extra compensation for bilingual and special education teachers. 

* Employer paid Master`s Tuition Reimbursement of $7,500 for teachers first Master`s Degree in exchange for 5 years of service.
