Spearville High School is seeking a qualified and student-centered High School English Language Arts/Speech Teacher for the upcoming school year. The successful candidate will provide engaging, standards-based instruction in English Language Arts and Speech/Oral Communication courses while fostering strong reading, writing, speaking, and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities include:

  • Plan and deliver effective lessons aligned to state standards

  • Assess and monitor student progress

  • Maintain a positive, well-managed classroom environment

  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff

  • Participate in professional development and school activities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Education, English, Communication, or related field

  • Valid Kansas teaching license with appropriate endorsement (or ability to obtain)

  • Strong communication and classroom management skills

Benefits Information

USD 381 pays $600 towards health, dental, and vision insurance. Benefits with American Fidelity are offered. Sick leave and personal leave are also offered. KPERS and reimbursement for college coursework is available.

Salary Information

USD 381 base salary is $45,500 for the 2025-2026 school year.
